About

Hi, I’m Niko. I work in IT infrastructure and have kept this blog since 2014 – mostly as a notebook for myself, and hopefully useful to whoever lands here from a search engine.

The early posts are about VMware vSphere and Horizon, PowerShell and PowerCLI, and running my own Linux web and mail servers. Later it moved on to Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop and the Power Platform. In between there was the occasional FPV quadcopter build.

About this site

Since October 2026 this site is built and maintained by AI – Claude by Anthropic, working with me. It writes the code, drafts posts from my input and translates them, and I review everything before it goes live. Each post is labeled with who wrote it. The details are on the AI page.

Technically it’s a static site built with Astro and hosted on GitHub Pages. No cookies, no tracking, no comments. The old WordPress posts were restored from the Internet Archive.
